How To Make The Perfect Tea Latte

So you got yourself a set of decadent, dessert-ish loose teas. Now what?

 

Nothing is more comforting than adding a dash of hot milk to a seriously good brew. But wait, why doesn’t my tea latte ever taste the same as store-bought you asked? One basic rule to making a really good tea latte is to never be afraid of adding more tea leaves, of course! No, we’re not kidding you. This will get you a more concentrated, flavourful, and satisfying brew. 

 

Easy to make, we made these recipes to help you get started. So start brewing and show us your cuppas on Instagram and Facebook with #gryphontea.

 

All of these recipes were created to serve for 1. Double up to share with your loved ones. (Or yourself, we won’t judge).

Gryphon-Tea-Drink-your-dessert-latteDrink your Dessert
Serves 1. Caffeine-Free & contains Pistachios.

 

You’ll need
8grams or about 3 teaspoon of Drink Your Dessert Tea
50-80ml Slightly under boiling water or at about 90˚C
150 Hot milk
Sugar *Optional

 

To Make Hot
Brew tea in hot water for 3 minutes. Strain into your favourite mug and pour hot milk over. Add sugar if needed, otherwise, ready to enjoy! Need a new mug to keep your brew consistently warm? We got you covered.

 

To Make Iced
To make an iced tea latte version, steep tea for 5 minutes, strain and add large ice cubes into cup. Pour cold milk over last and stir to chill your tea latte. Add sugar syrup if needed. Top with crushed Pistachios for a little bit more of nutty goodness.

Serves 1. Be warned, this is the brew you’d want to make more.

 

You’ll need
8grams or about 4 teaspoon of Pamper Me Silly Tea
50-80ml Slightly under boiling water or at about 90˚C
150 Hot milk
Sugar *Optional

 

To Make Hot
Brew tea in hot water for 4 minutes. Strain into mug and pour hot milk over. Add sugar if needed and dust cocoa powder. Serve immediately.

 

To Make Iced
To make an iced tea latte version, steep tea for 5 minutes, strain and add large ice cubes into cup. Pour cold milk over last and stir to chill your tea latte.

Serves 1. Take your time to sip this. No melty chocolates on your fingers, we promise.

 

You’ll need
8grams or about 4 teaspoon of Trufflelicious Tea
50-80ml Slightly under boiling water or at about 90˚C
150 Hot milk
Sugar *Optional

 

To Make Hot
Brew tea in hot water for 4 minutes. Strain into mug and pour hot milk over. Add sugar if needed and top with shaved chocolates. Serve immediately.

 

To Make Iced
To make an iced tea latte version, steep tea for 5 minutes, strain and add large ice cubes into cup. Pour cold milk over last and stir to chill your tea latte. Serving a couple of guests? Serve this chilled brew in a glass cup like this.
