Quench Your Thirst with These Cold Brew Recipes
October 2, 2019
Recently, the weather has been quite unforgiving leaving us feeling constantly warm, sweaty and parched. So, we thought we’d share some cold brew tea mocktail recipes to enjoy as you cool down to at the end of the day, or even to create for your next party!
Some perks of cold brew tea; it contains about half to 2/3 the amount of caffeine compared to teas that are steeped in hot water. Additionally, cold brewed teas do not have tannins. Tannins are what gives tea its astringency and bitterness, and only appears when tea leaves are subjected to heat. Thus cold brewed teas have lighter, brighter taste profiles and are generally more palatable.
Before we start with the mocktail recipes, here’s a quick tip on making your very own cold brew tea:
Simply dunk 1 sachet into a bottle of 250ml room temperature water and leave it in the fridge to chill overnight. It’ll be ready to enjoy the very next morning!
