When serving, simple sugar syrup is commonly served along unsweetened iced teas. This helps on the table when there are multiple sweetness preferences. Most of the time, the simple syrup is made of water and granulated sugar. If health concerns are involved, or if you prefer a healthier alternative, we’ve made this simple honey syrup to try – perfect for iced teas!
1 Cup Honey
1 Cup filtered water
Pour honey and water into a saucepan. Place over medium heat and stir until honey is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool before fridging. Store in airtight container or jar for up to a month. To make a more thicker syrup, reduce honey by half.
